Meet your teacher - Julie Craven
I worked as a registered nurse for 26 years but unfortunately I was forced to leave my nursing career behind me in 2014 due to degenerative disc disease. Fast forward to 2016, I commenced my Pilates training at the National Training Centre in Dublin and in July 2017 completed my Advanced Diploma in Pilates Matwork level 3.
I have always enjoyed being active and love swimming, a bit of cycling and hiking in the Mournes. I have developed a love for Pilates matwork and the fact that it is so versatile. You can bring a mat anywhere with you and squeeze in some Pilates practice, no excuses. I enjoy sharing my passion for movement with others and it is so gratifying watching others gain strength, move with more freedom and confidence through Pilates.
Our Philosophy
Our philosophy is simple: movement should be safe, effective, and enjoyable. Every class is structured to challenge and motivate while providing support for all levels of ability. We aim to help clients build strength, improve flexibility, and develop body awareness—all while having fun and feeling encouraged. The goal is to make Pilates accessible and rewarding, helping people lead healthier, more active lives.
Our Classes
We offer a variety of classes to suit different needs and goals: Mat Pilates for core strength and posture, Buff Bones for bone health and balance, 1-to-1 Pilates tailored to individuals, BarreConcept to tone and sculpt, Gentle Chair Pilates for low-impact movement, and Workshops to deepen your practice. Each session is designed to combine safe technique, personal attention, and an enjoyable experience so that every client leaves feeling stronger and happier.
